FAMILY HISTORY
The oldest document we have about the history of the family is dated 17th June 1395 and refers to the establishment of a census by the Lord of Gelida on the Mas de la Torrevella (current situation of the estate or Can Martí and its 'masias' or country houses , Can Martí de Baix and Can Martí de Dalt - lower and upper Can Martí), in favour of my direct ancestor Jaume Miquel, with "all his houses, buildings, fields, vines, lands, woods, allotments, honours and other possessions, waters, aqueducts, entrances and exits and all his rights and possessions which are of the Mas o will be in the future, whatever they may be."
THE CAN MARTÍ STATE
The Can Martí estate belongs to the family since 1395, and occupies 135 hectares in the Penedès region. We cultivate the white grape varieties Macabeo, Xarel.lo, Parellada, Malvasia, Chardonnay and Muscat, and the reds Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir and Syrah.
